Your Mission

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 19-20

God calls all Christians to be involved in His Great Commission in some way.  There are five main roles that he may use you in, they may change throughout your life, you may be drawn more strongly to one role, but will also serve in the others.

Goer- most often what we think of when we think of a missionary, someone who immerses themselves cross-culturally to impact the unreached for Christ.

Sender- supporting those who go, not only financially but also with encouragement and service.  You support those who go and become part of the ministry they are undertaking.  Senders make a decision to connect their heart to God’s heart by investing their treasure in His mission.  “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”  Matthew 6:21.

Intercessor- prayer warriors on behalf of the world and those who serve in it.

Welcomer- those who care for those from other nations and welcome them here in the name of Christ.

Mobilizer- those who actively empower those within their sphere of influence to take steps further into God’s Purpose, leading them as a friend out of their comfort zone.

"Christians need to be converted to missions, just as the lost do to Christ."  AT Pierson
